south carolina wedding // nicole and ryan / pepper plantation

a few months ago (i’m so behind on blogging!) i travelled alllll the way to charleston south carolina to photograph nicole and ryan’s wedding day. i was so excited after already working with them a few times – during their engagement session in richmond, va and for nicole’s bridal portraits in washington dc. their wedding day was absolutely amazing, but i’m going to let the photos do the talking… cause there’s a lot of them.

  • You totally nailed this wedding, each of your frames are bang on!

  • So many great shots here. Love the bridal portraits and the groomsmen shot through the car window.

  • Good stuff as always.

  • Great set! I really love it when couples include their pets in their wedding day. They are family too! Nice work.

  • The light in this one https://www.samhurdphotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/37-sc-ceremony-location.jpg is ahhhhmazing. It’s heavenly. Beautiful wedding.

  • Love love love the lighting in this entire wedding. The streaming sunlight is gorgeous and made the entire day so warm and intimate! And what a fun bridal party, they must have been a blast. Beautifully captured!

  • Sam, these images are so beautiful! What a lovely wedding! Wonderful colors… Well captured!

  • Awesome work Sam. Gotta love some marshmellow toasting at a wedding 🙂

  • I love SC!!

  • When I got to #23 Seba said, “Wow, I LOVE that” (in Spanish, of course). And I said, “I know, me too!” Then I said, “Wait, you’re talking about the one on the left, right?” He wasn’t. But I said the one on the left was ridiculously out of this world and he said the one on the right was even more ridiculously out of the world and we fought about that for five minutes. Thanks for causing a marital dispute 🙂

  • Amazing work as usual, Sam! I love everything about these images.

  • Awesome job Sam, its really beautiful the way you see the details of the wedding and tell us a story.

  • Lem

    Beautiful photos! Exceptional work.

  • LOVE the car shots. All of them, and particularly the first one of them sitting in front of it.
They have such great style-I love the way the bridesmaids are dressed, and his spectators are the coolest shoes I’ve ever seen on a groom.
    Who did their cake Sam?

  • I’m seriously always impressed with your photos. Always.
