Great review! I love this lens, but I’m having a great deal of trouble with the manual focus with longer distances. I’m thinking of picking up a third party focusing screen since Nikon doesn’t make one for D700.

Sam, are there any restrictions on what axis Tilt and Shift can be use? Thank you.
Another great review! Just wondering, have you had any negative client feedback after providing tilt shift images? I may be wrong, but the tilt shift for portraiture seems to be more for the photographer than the client. By this I mean, photographers appreciate a tilt shift image since we know it’s difficult to pull off well, and the resulting image looks unlike any other shot with a regular lens. However, to the untrained eye (the client), it has the danger of just looking like an image that has a lot of areas strangely out of focus. And when used for full length portraits, the clients’ lower body becomes mush. I know you only use it sparingly, but was just curious as to clients’ feedback about those images. Thanks! Mark.
Late to this part, but I really like Gold Hat Photography’s question above. I’m interested to hear the answer, but I guess nobody can answer that but the clients.
